We recently upgraded to a new server with Microsoft 2008 Small Business. We usually do a nightly Complete Dataset back up through Job Costing and it takes about 3 – 5 minutes. However, since the program was transferred to the new server, the back up is taking over an hour and seems to even get stuck on some of the files. It seems to start slowing down on files named AJHDET’I, AJHDET’R, AJJDET’I and AJJDET’R. When looking at the files, it seems that these are quite large and it’s taking the back up a long time to back up these files, if it can even get through them at all. We’ve never had this problem before and we’re not sure why this is happening or what we can do to get a shorter back up.

Make sure your anti-virus program EXCLUDES all Adagio files.
