Will the current release of Adagio work with Win 2000?


I have a client running an older Win 2000 server.
We have mapped a drive to this server and this is where we are currently storing the Adagio data files.
The IT person would like to install the client version of Adagio onto this computer, to use occasionally. Will this work properly, or are there issues here that we should be aware of?

As a workstation operating system, Windows 2000 is no longer supported by Adagio. That would mean that some (most?) things would work but there are functions that would not work because they rely on the operating system being XP or newer. I suppose the exception to this statement would be if someone was using Adagio software more than 4 or 5 years old.

Since your client has current versions, I would tell IT that they should not do a workstation installation on the server.

Actually I know for sure that Windows 2000 will not work with the latest releases, starting with Ledger 9.0D (110629). You will get some kind of error message and Adagio will not launch at all.
