Ledger 9.0D. There was a missing account in entry 75 of a batch of 97 entries. Printed Batch Listing report and it showed 43 errors count at the bottom. Modified the missing account and the total errors count disappeard. I tried again with sample data and the total of errors doesn't seem to match the actual errors.

All the errors may be for the same missing account.

Hi Andrew:

No, the missing account was only in one entry. The batch was retrieved from a subledger.

Andrew:

I can confirm that the number of errors reported on the batch listing report has in some way changed. Historically if one entry in one transaction reported a missing account then the number of errors reported was one. Now it's some number that appears random, though it may have some basis that is not obvious from reading the batch listing.

It's a little disconcerting when there are 12 real errors and 1300 reported errors.

Hi Patricia/Doug,

I can confirm that the Errors count is off on the bottom of the batch listing report when an account is missing, and maybe for other error types. The number seems to stem from the total of all details starting from the detail that has the first error. I can send this to the programmers.

I suspect this change was as a result of adding the new feature to the batch listing to print only the error details, and I think this feature is not correctly selecting the 'error-only' details, causing the error count problem.
