I have printed a batch of invoices (with a CANCELLED invoice in it). When I print the batch listing, the Extended and Before Tax amounts are included in the totals on the last page, but the sales tax is not. After I post the batch, the totals are correct on that listing (it does NOT include the cancelled invoice). Am I doing something wrong with the way I cancel the invoice, or is this a bug in the listing program?

Hi, Susan,

What version(release date) of Invoices are you using? You can find this out by selecting Help | About from the main menu (release date is the 6-character yymmdd number to the right of the version code).

When I cancel/delete an invoice within a batch by highlighting the invoice and clicking the Delete button, its status within the batch correctly shows cancelled. When I print the Batch Listing, this invoice also shows as a 'Cancelled invoice'. The price, taxes and total all show on the listing report.

The posting journal only includes information for those documents that were actually posted and a cancelled invoice would not be one of these.

I believe that Susan's point is that the cancelled Invoice amount should not show up in the report totals. If you look at the report, it works that way for the "After tax" column. However the "Extended" and "Before tax" columns include the cancelled invoice amounts. Is that by design? It seems inconsistent.

Thanks for clarifying. You're correct. Sorry, I was looking at the totals for the cancelled invoice itself which, in my case, is also on the last page.

I don't believe the cancelled invoice's totals should be reflected in any of the Batch Totals or the Report Total on the last page.

The good news is that this is a report problem and not a posting problem. I'll report it to R&D.

Version is 9.0A. I checked again and it includes the totals in the item column but does not include the sales tax. This is not the first time I have had this show up. Is there a newer version in which this has been fixed?

Per my prior post, the fact that the cancelled invoice's totals are being reflected in the Batch Totals' Item Price, Extended and Before Tax columns is incorrect. This should not happen.

The good news is that this is a report problem and not a posting (data) problem.

I've reported it to R&D for you.
