I'm working on a separate copy of our GL to do some testing of reports and Statement Groups within Financial Reporter. Is there an easy way to copy the statement group changes I've made without copying all of the GL? I know I'm able to copy individual reports created (GL!) but can't seem to find a file(s) that refer to Statement Groups.
Thanks
Karin

Hi Karin

The files you want to copy are GLRPTTXT.xxx and GLRPTGRP.xxx.

For your information, a good way to determine the file names is to make and save a change, and see what files have the most recent date/time stamp.

You've made my day! Now maybe you can make it even better...

Is there a way to combine certain statement groups into a sub-folder as I have done with my financial reports? My list of statement groups is getting longer and it would be soooo much easier to perhaps creat sub-headings such as: Monthly Financial Reports, Budget Preparations Worksheets, Board reports...Each of these currently have at least 25 statement groups as we send certain staff a PDF of their budget. It may not sound efficient but I haven't found any other way around it.

If it's currently not an option, maybe it can be added to the wish list???

Hi Karin

While it's not an option to have subfolders under statement groups, I'll bet there is a way to accomplish what you want by using the multiple sheets that are available for each financial report. If you take, for example, five individual reports, and copy them over as individual sheets under one report, it would make the statement group design a lot more streamlined.

It depends on your circumstances, you may want to discuss this possibility with your Adagio consultant.

Our consultant was actually the one who originally set it/created them this way so that individual outputs could be generated and sent to specific staff. I'll look at this multi sheet option to see if it might work for some of the other reports we are running.

Thanks

When you add a statement to a statement group, you can specify which sheet in the workbook is printed. Steve's method should work fine.
