I am unable to edit my PO specifications(PO 8.1A) When I go to Maintain>Specifications, the edit button is greyed out (on other tabs it is active) and there are no options at the bottom of the screen other than "save specification paths." I can get into the file and appear to be in Designer. I can select label or memo and place it on the page but then cannot get the dialog box to appear so I can enter the text I want to insert.
I did not see any options governing this in the Company Profile and I am logging in as Sys, so it isn't a rights issue. Please advise!

I think you're already editing your spec, because the designer is open. Under maintenance...specifications, there's an open button adjacent to each spec. The 'Edit' button doesn't apply to this page, that's why it's greyed out.

If you want to insert some text, make sure that the appropriate Toolbar is visible. View...Toolbars...Standard Components. Insert a 'label'.

From that point forward, it will get more difficult.

Thanks...the manual I was looking at suggested otherwise but I guess everything is as it should be. Still, when I try to insert the label, no dialog box appears in which to enter the text.

OK, never mind... I see that the text can be entered in the field just under the menu button (reminds me of formulas in Excel) Thanks anyway!
