I need to increase # of characters in Invoice field in OE.
Right now I have 8 characters and I would like to increase to 10.

You will have to wait until the next version of OrderEntry is released. I believe the next version will expand the field to 12. Just have patience.

Adagio Invoices supports a 12 character invoice number. Is there a reason you need so many characters?

Yes, Andrew there is a reason. We use a software for our Engineering purposes and our accounting system runs parallel to that and we made some changes to the Engineering software and now we need atleast 2 more chacters. I went into specifications and the maximum # of characters it can have is 8 and you are telling me that it suports 12, how I'm going to change that maximum in my OE specifications?

Actually, I just pointed out that our Adagio Invoices module supports a 12 character invoice number, if all you were trying to do is generate an invoice (and not process an order). You would have to change modules for your invoicing. Otherwise you're going to have to decide which 8 characters from your enginneering software you want to pass to the accounting.

While changing the size of the invoice number in Adagio OrderEntry is planned for some time in the future, that date is too distant to be useful to you since the changes to the engineering software have already been done.
