Each AR is opened it tells us there is a cash batch to retrieve. Unfornatunately we have not been able to retrieve it from Bank Rec and have been unable to use bankrec due to this error.

The error message is as follows:
"Batch resource file file location\brcb8ar.xxx for application BR is missing. This batch can not be retrieved."

What versions of Adagio BankRec and Receivables are you using?

The batch resource file is used to locate retrieval batches from other programs. Perhaps due to the timing of installing upgrades and entering/posting/retrieving batches, something has gotten out of synch.

The workaround is to look for a file brcbrxar.xxx in your data directory. This is the same resource file that connects BankRec 8.1B to Receivables 9.0A. Make a copy of this file and rename it to the missing brcbr8ar.xxx resource file. Don't rename the existing file, but the end result will have both files brcbrxar and brcbr8ar exist.

We just had the same problem and I did make a copy of the BRCBRXAR and then renamed it BRCBR8AR and was able to import the thing in. What happens the next time they create a batch? Both BRCRRXAR and BRCRR8AR are currently in the data folder. I had thought BRCRR8AR would have been deleted. I have also changed the profile to direct post hoping to eliminate the problem.

Hi Wayne,

These resource files are simply 'pointer' files, that look for a particular file to retrieve. Their purpose are identical to the resource files used to look for GL sub-ledger batches, such as ARBRSCGL.dat which was replaced by ARBRSCAL.dat when Ledger 9.0A shipped. Having both resource files in the data directory will not cause a problem.

Setting to Direct batches will also bypass the retrieval resource and data files.

You might also choose to enter the cash in Receivables 9.0 and then send to BankRec on posting, which would also bypass this entirely.
