I can add/edit/create cheque specs under "maintain specifications". I can save files with new names, etc,etc. BUT, when I go to "edit banks" and try to assign a specification to a bank, the names available bear no resemblence to the file names above and where I have created new files (with new names), I see duplicate nanes such as "ConvertedAP#LASCH.TOU" displayed instead of my new distinct file names. 6.8A HELP!

The filename given is entirely separate from the actual 'name' you can give your specification.

The Description that comes up in both the Edit|Banks option and when you have chosen to print checks (in the specification selection scrollbox) comes from the "title" given to the specification by selecting File|Specification Options when you have the spec open in Payables (or Adagio Checks) Designer.

Remember to save your specification after giving it a unique title.
