We started using Adagio Inventory Jan 01, 2009 - If I export a transaction history from Jan 01, 2009 to today for a particular item showing all adjustments/receipts/shipments/etc, the report shows 39.98 lbs of the item on hand at a cost of $376.01 and if you calculate the Moving Average Cost it is $9.41
If I go into the item inquiry w sales and costs/quantities it shows 44.98 lbs on hand and if I go into item inquiry/costing it shows 44.98 lbs on hand at a cost of $376.01 and a moving average cost of $8.36

The other thing that is happening with this item is the moving average cost should be $8.80 - up till Jan 21st, 2011 our cost was $8.80 - and then on 3 shipments the cost was $8.36 - nothing was received, there were no adjustments - I believe it has something to do with the missing 5 lbs.

Hi premium

This question is so data specific that I think you should discuss it with someone who is familiar with your data, such as your Adagio consultant.

But I don't work for Softrak, so maybe someone there can attempt to answer your question.

Have you run Day End Processing in OE? Have you shipped and invoices any quantity of this item in OE since your last Day End? If so, then costs and quantities are not guaranteed to match in inquiries and reports specifically in the FIFO lot costing buckets. Perhaps that 'missing' 5 lbs has been recently shipped.

To check this out, use the Column Editor on your Edit Items or Items w sales/costs grid and add the field 'Qty Shipped not Costed'. Any item with a non-zero qty has been shipped in OE since the last OE Day End.

We've run Day End in OE and checked the Qty Shipped not Costed. There are no items with a non-zero qty - We shipped 25 #s yesterday and now the item shows 19.98#s total cost 167.02 Moving Average Cost 8.36 (should be 8.80) and the transaction history shows 14.98#s @ 167.02
We use Moving Average Cost not FIFO

If the amounts stored on an item for costs and/or quantities are not what you expect them to be, immediately after running OE Day End, and your IC data passes an integrity check, then you will need to post some sort of adjustment to get the amounts back to where you want them.

This is now in the area to which Steve commented on earlier - you may want assistance from your Adagio consultant. The forum won't be the best place to investigate what might have happened.
