I am trying to print a customer list(address & phone #). I am only able to get addresses. When I try to include "contacts" or try to print preview "contacts" only, the program hangs up. The only escape is to ctrl-alt-delete. I haven't tried printing or previewing this report since Jan/10 and am assuming the last upgrade had a change that affected this report. Please advise.

Hello Jackie,
This report is working fine for me. Have you tried printing it in the sample data?

Hi Andrew, I have accessed the program again. It appears that there was a glitch in our network which explains why I kept getting hung up. As for the Customer List and Stats Report, the only way to get the report that we need is to designate "addresses only" and "profile". This will give me addresses, contact & phone/fax/email #'s. In previous versions I could print "addresses only" and get this information in about 40 pages (based on our data). Now the report is 151 pages! We need to have a hard copy. Can this be streamlined to its former self? Many thanks, Jackie

I'm not understanding the information you are looking for. Are you looking for a simple address and contact name and phone number for your clients? Perhaps you can list the fields you want to see.
Personally, I think that the easiest way to get the information you want is to select the fields you want on the Grid and dump the information into Excel.
If one row per client is not a useful layout, then do a mailmerge to a Word document and place the fields on the paper the way you would like to see them. That's probably easier than trying to create a custom report in Crystal Reports for Adagio (although that would be an alternative).

It's not an "omission". Accpac Plus did not have fields for e-mail addresses and web sites. Fortunately, you are able to customize this report for them in a few minutes with Crystal Reports for Adagio and replace the standard one we supply. We will never be able to satisfy the information requirements for everyone.

Steve, you are exactly right. Up until this year we were able to print the report in the ACCPAC "Address Only" format. Not sure what changed for 2010-2011 but it would be helpful to have it back. We are a small company and do run into numerous power outages or are unable to access the computer. The ability to access a hard copy that is not a long and cumbersome report would suit us greatly. I do not print the report often, usually at the beginning of the year so I am willing to try an alternate method of getting this report. We do have Gridview and I will make do from there.
Thanks, Jackie

I should point out that there are multiple ways to get a quick customer list from Adagio. All columns configurable. GridView, the ExcelDirect button under customer maintenance and any customer field (via SmartFinder).

Version 9.0A involved a complete re-design of the Customer file, with the inclusion of multiple contacts and additional information fields. Reports were changed to make sure that there was a way to print the new information. Not printing (or storing) the phone numbers would have "broken" the rule, if any such rule existed (which it doesn't).

Hi All, I have a different problem with the Adress Only report. We have 3 companies and each is set up with at Report Group code. When I call for a group individually some of the customers in that group are missing. I can't figure out what is different in those customers vs. the ones that do print out. Any clues?

Thank you for the advice. I went through the whole database, checked all the customers, changed a few to 'trick' the system and still quite a few customers are missing. Also turned on the verify report group option. I changed the ones who are missing several times, type in the report group as well as chose it with the finder. I don't see anything different with those customers. They are all active as well. We will do a DIC today or tomorrow to see if errors show up.

How stupit am I????? I am so sorry about this, the balance in the criteria was set at a fairly low amount so of course the current customers with a balance above that would not show up.
My profound apologies.

The answer's always obvious when you know what it is.
