God afternoon:
I am having a problem with incorrect costs posting to Sales Analysis.
When I check I/C the Most Recent Cost is correct and the Unit Purchase price matches the RC in POA but the cost posted to Sales Analysis is incorrect (usually higher).
We never invoice until we have posted and purged POA.
I have just caught up on a back-log of up-grades. Have I missed something?
Thanks
Jan

Hi Jan,

The cost that appears on a Sales Analysis transaction is determined by Order Entry when Day End Processing is run there. The cost that OE determines for the invoice is also sent to the Inventory Transaction History file, and it is not guaranteed to be indentical to your receipt cost, depending on the costing method of your items and if your receipt costs have changed.

What is the costing method you use for your items? FIFO and LIFO methods will possibly have different costs than your most recent cost, if your receipt costs ever differ. Other costing methods could give slightly different amounts if your receive goods at a different cost.

I don't suspect that the version of Adagio is the reason for different costs from PO / Most Recent Cost and what you see in Sales Analysis / IC History.
