Using 8.1B (100505).

We hardly ever use this program but I wanted to try it today to see who are top 20 customers are. I loaded the "Top 20 Customers (YTD $) Sales" that is provided by Softrak but it does not seem to be working anymore. It takes forever to load, then it loads all of our customers that have amounts above zero, instead of just 20. How do I fix this?

Hi Susan,

The Online Inquiry template for Top 20 Customers does not display those customers in the Summary grid. Rather, when you click the Print button, you can print the report to show the Top 20 customers.

There is a Standard report that also can print the Top 20 customers from the Reports menu. This will likely be faster than Online Inquiry. But you couldn't do Top 20 by Quantity or Profit, or show a Bar Chart, etc - Online Inquiry has greater flexibility and customizablility.

I don't work for Softrak, so I am allowed to be politically incorrect. The standard reports are really just samples, not for an actual company to use.

Also I would immediately delete all of the inquiries that appear when you first create the company data. It is SO easy to create your own inquiries that it is not worth trying to edit the default inquiries to make them work for you.
