I am trying to set up a report to show several years of Budget. The formula for last year's budget doesn't seem to work {1}B; ( however {2}B and {3}B do work for the 2 years before last).

Is there a different formula/field for last year's budget?

No, you have the correct formula code for the full budget last year.
Ensure that you actually have numbers for the prior year budget, and that they were not accidentally purged.
What is the problem you are having? Are the amounts 0.00 or an unexpected amount, or a different problem?

The current year's budget is showing instead of last years. As far as I know the prior was not purged.

OK, if the wrong numbers are showing, ensure that you did not accidentally overwrite last years budget numbers with this years budget numbers. Perhaps print the Chart of Accounts standard report for Budgets and last year - this is an easy check outside of the Financial Reporter.

I ran the Chart Of Accounts report for Budgets and only the current year gives the correct budget to match the year.

I looked at the CV Excel file and the numbers are correct in the file.

Can work around the problem by cutting and pasteing I guess

Do you have any idea why the numbers are "wrong" for the earlier years? If you have the "right" numbers somewhere, they can easily be imported.

Could it possibly be the Ledger 9.0C?

I used the Financial reporter to look at prior years and only 2009 isn't pulling the budget for that year, 2008 and 2007 are okay on the financial reporter. I have excel files for every year so I could re-import last years (2009).

Not sure how that chart of accouts report for budget works (has net change column - is that from the year before, which year). Anyway the Financial reporter shows the correct budget except for 2009 (last year)

Can you please provide instructions on re- importing prior year budget, if that is the solution.

The reports (Chart of Accounts budgets or the Financial Reporter) can only display the numbers that are stored. If those numbers are incorrect for any reason, then it follows that the reports will also give unexpected results.

It might be that you edited or imported budgets and intended to update numbers for a particular year, but in fact updated the numbers for a different year by mistake. This is speculation.

To update budgets via Importing, you need to create a file with the budget numbers - this could easily be accomplished using the File / Export / Budgets function. Or use the Excel spreadsheet you already have. Once the correct numbers are determined, use the File / Import / Budgets function to bring those numbers in from the Excel file. The 'File defaults' tab in the Import Template allows selection of a particular fiscal year to update - you can only update numbers for one year at a time. Thus you can re-import the budget numbers for specifically the prior year by selecting that year from the 'defaults' tab of the import template prior to importing.

I have re-imported 2009 budget and the numbers appear to be okay in 2009 and 2010.

Thanks
