Hi, Everyone,

The problem results in one or only a handful of what should be many records being reported in the Summary window and details for the many summary records being reported in the Detail window, when only the details for the highlighted summary record should be reported.

However, we have found a very easy way for you to make your online inquiries report correctly.

For those that are summarizing by Customer codes, if the Customer Name field is not already a part of your online inquiry, please add it. Once the field is added, ensure you check the 'Summarize by' option for the Customer Name.

For those that are summarizing by the (IC) Category code, if the Item Description field is not already a part of your online inquiry, please add it. Once the field is added, ensure you check the 'Summarize by' option for the Item Description.

If you don't want either of the Customer Name or Item Description fields to display in any results, don't check any of the 'Show in' options for these fields.

Hi, again,

Looking at this further, if you are summarizing by Category, you might want to choose to use the Salesperson or Territory field to add and also select to 'Summarize by', rather than the Item Description. These will undoubtedly return fewer duplicate results in the Summary screen.

I think there is a flaw in this solution. Rather than a summary by category code only, now you get a summary by category/item desc.

If you only retrieve transactins from one sourse, use the Sourse code instead. If you retrieve from multiple sourses then find another field with only one possible answer.

Softrak: When can we expect a fix for this?

Yes, hence the follow up suggestion about using the Salesperson or Territory fields to summarize by instead. Source would be another field to use. The Summarize by Customer Name works much better as these names tend to be unique. The Category Code requires more knowledge of the individual site and data used.

R&D is working on the solution.

Hi,

On the Downloads | Client Service Packs page of our website, we posted a SysUpdater.exe (scroll to the bottom of the page) that resolves this issue. It is available for download.

Thanks to those of you that got back to us and confirmed that it definitely did resolve your issue.
