A client wants to blast email a pdf (in this case a new price list) to a selected list of customers.

They use SalesCQ and GridView, so I was thinking that these would be the tools to create the list (GridView) and perform the blast (SalesCQ).

Can you blast an attachment to a list of customers out of SalesCQ? Or out of any other modules, for that matter?

If you want to use GV to create the price list, you could Excel Direct it to Excel. Then, create a Word .dot file and bring it into Word as a table. Set the rest of this .dot file up to merge the appropriate customer information from your CQ scanlist and save the file to your Softrak\ACWIN folder. When you do your mailmerge in CQ, use the .dot file you just created.

Printboss, or a mail merge in Word (the wizard works great).

I'd say the mail merge is the easiest - we do these a few times a year and it takes maybe 30 minutes from start to finish.

I don't think the Word .dot idea will work because the file is a pdf file that they created outside of Adagio.

I guess I'll go with the Word mailmerge idea, but it sure would be nice if you could attached a pdf file to an email blast straight out of SalesCQ (and also out of Receivables | Print Statements/Letters).

In the absence of any special software, multiple e-mails originating from a single IP address with the same subject line will be seen by most filters as spam.
