Hi,

I have created 2 new Adagio crystal reports, one using AR and another GL Tables. I need to add those reports in the respective Module either as an icon or in the File Menu/Reports for user to select my newly created reports.

Reports created in Crystal Reports for Adagio cannot be put on the Reports menu or anywhere else within the Adagio modules.

You can however, create a shortcut for the reports and place them on the Windows' Desktop for easy access.

Your End User must have purchased a full version of Crystal Reports 8.5 for Adagio and have it installed however, in order for them to be able to use the report.

Adagio Reports are also written in Crystal Report. And can be printed without Adagio Crystal Report Module. Is there any chance if I can use Visual Basic and using SDK to execute the report.

The reason is, most customers only need 1 new customized report and they refuse to invest in Adagio Crystal Report because they will not utilise the module as much as other Accounting Modules. It is not cost justified.

Please assist.

You license with Crystal Decisions prohibits you from doing this. If the reports are of value to your clients, then the means of producing those reports should be of value too.

While I agree that there are many different ways of getting at Adagio data, I stand by the comment that, if the report is of value to the client, then the means of producing that report is of value too. The client may well pay more for the consultant time of investigating various solutions than simply writing a check (cheque?) for Crystal Reports for Adagio.

As regards OLEDB, it is available on a restricted release basis directly from Softrak. It is not re-distributable. Price has not yet been determined.
