I was working in Payables when my computer crashed, I did a Data Integrity Check and it came back with 2 errors, I did a Rebuild and Back Up and another Data Integrity Check came back with 1 error and a "0" Batch has been created in my Invoice Batches that I cannot delete. I have continued working in AP, because I had to do my weekly cheque run, should I be worried about this "0" batch, should I do a Back Up restore to befor the "0" batch? I have done a print screen and have .jpg's but there's no option to attach them here.

Hello:
-You still have 1 Integrity error? What does it say? (some are critical, others not)
-What is preventing you from Deleting the $0.00 Invoice batch?
-Were you entering an Invoice batch when the computer crashed?

BTW: You can attach image files by clicking on the "File Manager" option just under the box where you type the body of the message. It isn't very obvous!

I added the 2 .jpg's that I have, although I had to crop them to get them to attach. The initial error was in the first line of files checked. Both initial errors were in the "A/P Batch Status Control", I didn't get a screen shot of the first DIC, but I remember the error code being the same as the one attached. I had to zip the 2 pictures together, so you may need to extract them to view them.

I can open the "0" batch and it says that the batch has been printed, but it will not delete. Myself and a coworker have both made various attempts. No warnings or anything pop up except the usual message confirming that I want to delete the batch.

Hi,

Are you saying this is a $0.00 batch or a batch 0? If this is a batch 0, you may need a database repair to fix it or to restore from a backup made before the posting problem occurred. Also, did you do a backup before doing the Rebuild in the DIC? You may want to contact your Adagio consultant.

It's a batch 0. Yes I did a back up before the DIC and after the DIC fixed one of the errors. The last back up before that was done was this 3 days before the error, if I have to restore the back up, I have to renter an entire weeks worth of work. We will be implementing daily back ups once I know if I have to restore back or not.

Hi,

With the Batch 0, your options are either to restore from a backup made before the error occurred or to seek a database repair. Having a backup made immediately before the Rebuild was run is usually more useful when a database repair is being done.

This may be a good time to talk with your Adagio consultant.

I think we can all agree that a batch numbered as 0 is a bad idea! frown Further to Support's notes, you have 2 options:

Restore from 3-day old Backup:
Advantage = $0.00 cost
Disadvantage = Time to re-enter a week's worth of work

Get data fixed:
Advantage = No lost time
Disadvantage: A cost likely between $200 and $450

I would suggest asking your Adagio consultant for his/her cost and turn-around time.

Thank you both for responding so quickly to my question. I will be calling support next week to get more advice and a quote.
