We are trying to print a letter that we put together using Statement/Letter Designer in AR. It prints fine, but it is printing 3 copies of the letter while we only need one. In the Spec Options, the # of copies is set to 1. It is also set to 1 copy in the Print options. How do we correct this?

Adagio Receivables 8.1A (070920)

Perhaps it is printing to a printer driver with the number of copies set to 3?

I thought that might be it, but it's not. When I preview the letter before printing, it says there are 3 pages, and each page is the same letter.

Ensure that your Letter specification has a unique Title. It may be that you have more than one Letter spec with the same Title and are selecting a different spec than what you mean to. Use the Designer to open your 1-page spec and from the File / Specification Options, not only ensure that the # of copies is 1, but also edit the title to something unique. Then save and go back to the Letter printing function and try again.

Letters can only have 1 section, say a Page Header. It cannot have multiple page headers or footers, and definitely no detail sections.

Does a sample Letter spec do the same thing with 3 pages? If not, then there is something in your Letter spec that is not defined correctly.

The letter did indeed have more than one section. After deleting the other empty sections, it now prints the appropriate single page. Thank you!
