The error message you quoted below typically happens when re-printing a report immediately after trying to print the same report, when an error occured. What has happened is that when running the report, an error happened and all files were not closed as they should be. On trying to re-print the report, the system tries to open a file that already is open, and a 'lock violation' occurs. It would appear that in your case, the temporary posting journal file is that file in question.
The usual solution is to simply re-boot your computer to clear everything out of memory. If you ever run into a problem that causes a program to crash or otherwise stop working as expected, I would definitely recommend re-booting the computer. There is no guarantee that everything will continue to work as normal.
That brings up the question as to what happened in the first place to your posting journal printing. Did you receive any other messages or errors?
One known issue is when trying to print some reports to File, instead of the printer. A known problem with a version 7 Crystal DLL file and printing reports to File on a Windows 2000, NT, or XP machine can occur, and many Adagio posting journals fall into that category. If the most recent Adagio PTF doesn't already contain the fix, the next one will. If you need it, have your Adagio dealer contact us and we can send it to them on your behalf.
