I need to some help with the following issue please.

I have run Workstation setup for Adagio and it prompts me for the Report Table drive error. What I don’t understand is the same G: drive is being accessed by two workstations. The first workstation works fine. The second reports the error :-

The Report Tables drive for this workstation is currently set to drive [G:]. However that drive does not contain current Report Tables for Adagio Invoices (same error for all 4 modules). Please check your workstation drive mappings, and if necessary, re-install Adagio Invoices (again all 4 modules).

I don’t understand how come the first workstation accesses same G: drive and files on the G: drive and does not get any error.

i have also run the \Softrak\System\chksys.exe and it's saying the required files need to be a later date.

Adagio Invoices Status:
G:\qrasp\QRTQIW10.qrw
Date: [08/03/2004] *** Error; Needs: [02/14/2006]
G:\qrasp\QRTQIZ68.qrw
Date: [07/12/2004] *** Error; Needs: [02/14/2006]

Does that mean the new workstation (the 2nd wstation is a new computer but with Windows XP 2002) will not run unless we upgrade the Adagio software.

I will appreciate if someone will kindly reply me on this issue.

Thanks

I suspect that the QRW comparison files in the \softrak\system\qrasp\qi directory got mis-dated, due to somebody installing an Adagio Invoices upgrade or service pack directly on the server, on Feb 14, 2006. There is a MS server problem in mis-dating system files when programs that use mapped drives are installed directly on the server, rather than from a workstation.

Adagio Invoices thinks that the tables are out of date when in fact the comparison files are wrong. Adagio stores information in the Windows registry about report tables, thus that would explain why one workstation is OK but another gives an error. Likely the same for all Adagio programs.

You will need to re-install the Adagio programs on the server, from a workstation. You may need to rename the \softrak\system\qrasp directory prior to this, to get all the mis-dated tables out of the way.

There are utilities to fix mis-dated report tables, but current Adagio versions are required for the utilities to work. Applciations with report tables dated in 2004 are not current enough, so re-installing is the only answer.

Are you attempting to run the workstation setup from the Softrak\ALLWKST folder?

I've seen many sites where this "All Workstation" setup (which allows you to do workstation setups for all modules from one spot) gives report drive errors incorrectly.

If this is where you are, try running the workstation setup from the \Softrak\QIWIN\WKSETUP folder instead to see if it works from there.
