Hi All,

Occasionally someone receives the wrong quantity - they receive 10 of an item when it should have been 1, or 5 of one item and 10 of another when it should have been the other way around - something like that.

What is the easiest way to correct this problem on the receiver, as I've noticed you cannot change a posted receipt (which is probably a good thing!).

We are using POs 8.0 (07-May-08).

Is there any reason why you're using such an old version of PO?

Using the current shipping version of PO8.1A(091029), you would enter a Quick Receipt to change the receipt quantity. You can also enter negative quantity Quick Receipt if it's necessary to reduce the quantity received.

Can I do the negative quick receipt with the current POs?

We're using the old one because we haven't upgraded our GL to 9.0 because we use F9 for our financial statements, which i'm told will tilt when we upgrade.

Someone is currently remaking our statements with financial reporter in AL.

We don't require that Ledger be 9.0 in order to use PO8.1A. PO8.1A is compatible with GL8.1A and GL9.0.

Although I suspect you can enter a negative Quick Receipt in the version of PO you are using, I really don't know for certain.

Softrak only supports PO at the 8.1A and higher versions.
