We are having pricing errors on Adagio Inventory. The base price is automatically multiplied by factors of 100, 1000 or 10,000 resulting in erroneous amounts. We have tried updating the item price, but the price will just change again, and won’t stay the same. It seems that every time I post an order that has an item on it, that item’s base price and costs will be multiplied by 100, 1000 or more. For example, I have one item who’s price is $15.20. I go and enter an order for this item, and it’s price will come up as $1,520, and the base price in IC will also have changed to $1,520. If I do it again, the price will come up as $1,520,000 in the order and in IC.

Please help!!!

The problem is occuring in both OE and IC. It seems to be when i create an order in OE, the price comes up wrong and then is changed in IC as well

OE 8.1B
IC 8.1A

Something else - I copy, pasted and isolated the OE, IC, and AR data to do some testing into a different folder. This problem does not happen when I access the data in this folder. So I then copy this isolated data over the active data, and the problem is solved in the active data!

So I guess my problem is solved for now, but why would this happen?

Data Integrity came in clean on all modules by the way.

Thanks!

Service Packs (date after version number)? Are you saying that, after creating an order in OE with the wrong price, that the incorrect price is now permamently stored in IC and is now the default price for all users? Do you enter some shipments directly in Inventory? Did you copy all the data, including any multicurrency files (even if you are not using Adagio MultiCurency)?

OE 8.1B 080421
IC 8.1A 070825

After creating an order in OE, it would automatically pull a price that was 1000 times higher than the base price in IC, and the after posting that order, the base price in IC would then also have changed.

We only use OE for shipments/invoicing/orders.

We are using Adagio MC 8.1A 060707.

I only pasted data that started with IC, OE, or AR into the live data. Any other data would have remained the same as when the problem was occuring.

Thanks,

Cam

I've seen this before, though not the solution because this issue makes permanent changes to your costing data once Day End is run.

Though I was never able to figure out what caused this I suspect that getting my client onto the current versions went a long ways towards preventing it from happening again.

We just opened an office in Winnipeg, give me a call if I can assist you in any way. My Winnipeg number is(204) 944-0302.

We have seen this too, but have been unable to replicate it here. The current releases of the applications have specific code to trap this occurrence, and no one has contacted us about seeing the message.

We have seen a somewhat similar problem corrected by changing the number format in the Windows Regional Settings.

Here in Quebec it is common to use the format 123 456,00$ (same as the format used in France) instead of the North American convention $123,456.00. When people set their Regional Settings to the former, Adagio behaves somewhat like your case. Changing the Regional Settings back to the conventional North American standard has fixed the problem for us.

I, too, have seen this problem a year or two ago. It is not as simple as changing the Regional Settings back. The data itself is wrong and needs to be corrected.

I have not seen this problem with the latest versions of Adagio. I strongly suggest that in addition to identifying and fixing the incorrect figures, you install the latest versions of Adagio.

We, also, have observed situations as described, but have not seen any recent occurrences since installing the latest versions of Adagio IC, OE, and PO, and service packs, in our sites.

I concur with Steve, fix and install the latest and greatest.

Regards,
Brian
