I would like to build a report with the following columns:
Invoice or Credit Note Number
Invoice or Credit Note Date
Customer Number
Customer Name
Salesperson
Location
Sales Amount
Cost Amount
Territory

I had this report as existing already, but something seems to have happened to it over the holidays...now it will look like it is building, flash with the info all highlighted, then all the info disappears and we get a blank screen with only the columns there.

We are using GridView 9.0A

Thanks very much.

Is it pointing to the correct data? All these fields are in the Sales Order Header file. Try turning any filter off and see if it loads anything.

Andrew, there was one filter, which I have now removed. Still nothing loads. It is most odd...we have another preset report which is loading and printing fine...

Thanks very much.

In the definition, do you have 'save without data' selected? Try disabling this option, as if you save a view this this on, you will see the information clear until you press F5 to refresh.

Why not just re-define the View?

Hmmm...odder and odder. We finished our day end process, and the last function we do is this report. Today it has printed, except ONLY with the invoices and credit notes from today. This report used to print with a few years worth of history. Could it have something to do with changing from 2009 to 2010? All of the 2010 invoices and credit notes are showing up, but nothing from previous years, which is very odd, as we used to have to sort by invoice date which included two or three years worth, then pick off just today's date. We do use this report for a month end function too, so I do need it to at least have all of December sales in it. What might have been changed? Everyone here swears they did not touch it...

Can you confirm that the data you are pointing the GridView view at has data in 2009? Just to make sure that this isn't the issue - GridView can only report on existing data.

What dictionary are you using for your view? Does it match the version of your program?

If the 2009 data is there, then there is a filter of some sort defined on the view and it hasn't actually been disabled. Click the 'Toggle filter' button on the toolbar to ensure that no named filter has any affect on the view.

I tried in Sales Order Header:Inv Date-all the date in the data but in Sales Summary: which the report that we needed: Inv Date-pick only the Jan 2010 from the data.

Barb - can you edit this and make it understandable? Sorry, but I can't follow what you're trying to tell us.

From the same Database when I tried to run a report from Sales Order Header, it picked all the transactions dated from Jan 2010 back whatever historical date that were in the database. When I run another report Sales Summary, it picked only transactions that are dated Jan 2010, not transactions with older date.
