I am attaching a file with the print screen for two installations on Vista. With inventory it tells me when the programme was installed the drive table was set to P: but there are no report tables in P. The report tables are in P and this workstation is able to access the drive. Once I say ok. The installation goes ahead. I must be missing something as i do not see any difference in the drive which does not contain and the drive which contains i.e. according to the message.
However for Sales Analysis and Bank Rec it simply tells me that the drive does not contain the report tables.

Hi, Cassandra,

Earlier in this forum thread, you'll find information about Vista.

There are 3 ways of doing a workstation install: (1) run the program and let the autoworkstation install kick in, (2) run the ALLWKST.exe from the Softrak folder, and (3) run the WKSETUP.exe from the Softrak\module (eg. Softrak\ICWIN) folder.

Please try the WKSETUP and/or autoworkstation install methods.

I have tried all three with no success. I have disabled UAC, I have checked other installation. I included a zip file with error messages and asked for an interpretation of the message I got with the Inventory installation. I am at a lost to understand the reference to drive P in both instance. There is no difference between the two drives in the message. I believe understanding this message will give a better understanding of the problem with these three programs.

The report tables drive is referring to the root of the mapped drive that the QRASP folder is installed on. This information is written to the registry of the Windows user that is logged on during the workstation install and will be running Adagio. This Windows user must have Windows rights to do the install and to write to their registry.

You can also try reinstalling the module from this user's workstation to the server. After a successful install, an individual workstation install won't be necessary.

Ireinstalled the bank rec and sales analysis upgrades to the server using a Vista Machine. After that I could do the workstation install to this machine. However when I go to another Vista machine I still get the same error message. Am I supposed to run the upgrade from individual machines?
Another thing I noticed is that I downloaded the BankRec upgrade to a folder on the server and when I tried to run it I got the error message that it was not a valid Win32 application. I therefore had to install the BankRec upgrade directly from the website.

The user which is logged on is an Administrator. How can I identify what entries should be in the qrasp folder. What is causing me the most confsusion is that some programmes can be done and others can not be done using the identical user information.

As I mentioned earlier in the post we did 8 upgrades and 2 service packs. The XP machines went flawlessly. The upgrades for the Vista went flawlessly for Inventory, Order Entry, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables. But not for Bank Rec and Sales Analysis. These are the programmes accessed by the persons who use the Vista machines.

If I understood what is specific to these programmes then I would be able to give you better information or come up with a solution.

Another thought - should I run a Chksys.exe on the server itself?

You can run ChkSys on a workstation or the server. It will tell you where various files (and report files) are installed, allow you to turn off Opportunistic Locking and other things. It won't resolve the problem you are currently experiencing though.

Installing the program in the same manner for the one other user should resolve the issue.

The QRASP folder contains tables used for running reports in Adagio. These tables are also used when custom reports are created using Crystal Reports for Adagio.

It is actually three other users.

Any reason why the allwks install does not work?

Any thoughts as to why the downloaded upgrade for Adagio Bankrec gives an error message?

Hi, Cassandra,

I've run into this on a few occasions with Vista. It may be something with a particular flavour of Vista.

With respect to the download of BR, this type of error can occur when the file didn't download successfully.
