Hello:

Is there a way to copy a completed financial statement and paste it onto another sheet but maintain the formatting (things like covered cells, "hide when printed" etc.)?

Ledger 9.0B.

Thank you.

Hi Bruce,

File / Import Workbook allows you to import one or more sheets and paste them within the currently active workbook.

This includes importing the same workbook you are currently editing, which effectively works like copying a worksheet and maintaining formatting.

Thank you Support. That works very well.

I must say, however, that wasn't on my Top 10 list of possible solutions! smile Perhaps in a future version, users could right-click on the sheet-name and choose "Copy Sheet" or "Paste Sheet". Or maybe there can be a Paste option that retains formatting (like "Paste Special" in Excel).

Yes, sometimes I forget ... until I try to build a formula with point-and-click and then I remember!

Recently a client using Sage Accpac asked me to build a statement with side-by-side departmental comparatives in their Excel financial reporter. I jumped in but soon found that it really couldn't be done. I asked Sage Tech Support who checked with Development. They suggested a work-around that is applicable in some situations but not most. Adagio makes that sort of statement a breeze.

Back to the original issue: If I copy-and-paste on a single sheet, the formatting is saved. Why not have the same behaviour when going from one sheet to another?

Seems reasonable. We'll pass the suggestion on to development.
