I have a Linux server and am trying to do a server instal/upgrade from Payables 8.1a to 8.1b and I receive an access denied error on L:\qrasp\qrtapw68.qrn and then the install exits. Thoughts? Thanks in advance,

Do you have read/write access to the L:\qrasp directory? This is the location of the report tables for Adagio and the QRTAPW68.QRW file is one of the Adagio Payables report tables.

Also check that the files in \qrasp are not read only and can be overwritten.

Do you have the /linux parameter on the run command?

Andrew - I don't know about this command - new IT guy here taking over and so this is my first go at Adagio. We are using a linux smb server for windows workstations.

Since we don't directly support Adagio on a Linux server, and this list means little to us, perhaps it would make sense to discuss this with your Adagio consultant?

This Adagio install programs use "/Linux" on the command line to overcome differences in the treatment of read-only files in the Linux environment. You would need to use a shortcut to the install EXE or invoke it directly from the Run command to get the parameter specified.

Looking at your original post I see you have installed the upgrades and got an error during the install.

When installing to a Linux server you must first run;
chmod -R +w *

from x:\softrak

You must do this prior to installing each module and Linux will reset the Softrak folder back to read only when each install finishes.

I changed all files to world-read/writable and got no errors during the install. Had to to that for both qrasp and softrak folders.
