I recently installed the latest AP version and it created a different data path,SOFTRAK|DATA|ERCB, which it insists on defaulting to, whenever I open it. The first time I opened it after the install, I had to manually change it to the correct datapath, which is simply SOFTRAK|DATA; wherupon it asked me if I wanted to convert the data to the upgraded version and I said yes.
How do I nowget it to default to the correct datapath upon opening? I thought it was supposed to remember the datapath used in the previous session and default automatically to that.

Do you have a path specified on the shortcut you use to launch Adagio Payables? (check the properties of the shortcut). If there is no path on the shortcut properties, then the program will default to the last accessed database when it's opened.
