What is wrong when trying to post to a previous year I get Errors:Posting Sequence 3, it does not print an error report. Bottom of page - 3 entries printed 0 errors found but it will not post batch.

If you do a batch listing, does the batch listing report any errors?

No it doesn't.

Check to see that the prior year fiscal periods are not closed. The batch listing report cannot detect this scenario as it can only assume that the batch will be posted to the current year.

I also assume that you are not posting to the 'Y/E adjustment period' (period 14)?

This period is open. We are trying to post to the 12th period.

Please backup the data and send it to me.

The issue got resolved by deselecting period 12 of the current year which is a future period.
