I just finished watching the Webinar for SalesCQ and it looks pretty good. Is it possible to create a new inventory item when creating a quote (like in order entry), and if so, does it create it in inventory control immediately or when the quote is made into an order?

I would try this myself but I am already running Receivables V9.0A

Hi Doug,

Unfortunately, we don't expect the AR 9.0 compatible version of SalesCQ to be available until the 1st quarter of 2010. It's undergoing a major revision to handle the formatted addresses.

You can create Inventory items in SalesCQ and they are created directly in Inventory. Although it has been suggested, there is no way to create a "transient" item that only gets added to inventory when the quote is turned into an order.

SalesCQ allows the sales staff to "tinker" with orders before actually committing the items in OrderEntry.

We're all looking forward to the AR 9.0 compatible version.

Thats what I needed to know.
