I am running Accpac Plus Windowing System Manager 6.5A, G/L 6.1A, and QR 991022. When we create reports using G/L Posted Transaction Listing the Fiscal Period field displays as numbers 13 - 24. I called Accpac and Accpac Plus only generates 1 -12. What is happening?

Hi Brannon,

The field 'Fiscal Period' in Quik Reports will have values 1-12 (or 1-13) for the previous year and 13-24 (or 14-26) for the current year. This is how the values are actually stored in the GL data, though Accpac Plus does some further calculations internally to display 1-12 for current year periods.

If you require to show 1-12 in Quik Reports, you will have to use a formula to subtract 12 from the stored value. ie "Fiscal Period - 12"

When you first setup your Ledger in ACCPAC Plus and/or Adagio, you have a choice of a 12 or 13month Fiscal Calendar.

Some companies use a 13th Fiscal period for various reasons to do with adjustment entries or to compensate for how many days in a month they actually use for their fiscal period 'cut off'.

I'll bet this is explained better, and in more detail by your Accountant, or in the manual that comes with the Ledger program you are now using.
