Hi Tracy,

If you print preview a report and the screen sort of 'flashes' rather than showing the report, that means something isn't getting loaded by the Crystal Reports engine during the print process. Typcially the solution is to simply reinstall Adagio to make sure the Crystal files are all there and set up correctly. Adagio AR 6.8A and all other Adagio 6.8 programs use the Crystal 7.0 engine. Do you have any other programs that use Crystal Reports for printing? I wonder if any DLLs were replaced accidentally.

Does this happen for all reports in AR, or only selected reports? Try the Company Profile report for the simplest test. That you get an 'Error 533' on printing a report (a generic message), I would definitely suggest reinstalling or re-doing the workstation setup.

If you installed the workstation components, run the utility program CHKSYS.EXE, which can be found in the \softrak\system directory. This will check whether all the files that should be on your local hard-drive are in fact there, and of the proper versions.

This 'screen-flash' has also been found to happen if you have unusual settings in the Windows Regional Settings for Dates and Amounts. Windows ME should be OK with this as I've seen it work before.

Oh yeah, one other thing I forgot in the first posting.

To print reports, Adagio needs to know the location of the \QRASP directory which contains the report tables. In Adagio 6.8A, this path is stored in the Windows Registry. Use Regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Softrak Systems, and Quik Reports. There should be a System Path key containing the drive letter for where the \QRASP directory is located.

If the path is pointing to a different drive, but it does contain a \QRASP, it may be that the Invoices tables are there, but the AR tables are not. There should only be one \QRASP directory, on the network server.

The AR tables would have been installed by the Adagio AR installation. Look in the appropriate \QRASP and you should find two tables. One is QRTARW10.QRW and the other is QRTARZ10.QRW. Both will have file dates in 2001. If both are not there, then reinstall Adagio Receivables and make sure you select the Report Tables drive as the network drive.

The error in the Adjustment postig journal may be due to not having another table installed. The newest ptf should address this.
