Three Questions on formatting in Financial Reporter:

How do I make rows (column titles) repeat on each page?

Is there a way to see the exact row height?

Is there a way to tell it to fit to one page (or 1 page across 2 down, etc.)

Thank you.

Hello:

1) Multi-select the rows that you want to repeat (say rows 1 to 10), click on "Format" on the menu bar, then "Rows" then "Freeze". You will see a faint blue line under the last row (in this example between rows 10 and 11). Rows 1 to 10 will repeat on each page.

2) You mean in actual inches? None that I know of, other than printing the statement. I've never found it necesary though. Adjust the row height(s) and preview the report.

3) Alas, no "print to fit"!

Thank you Bruce for your reply.
I've tested your response to #1 and found it to be a bit quirky. I picked row 5 to freeze as it was the row with my headers on it; YTD, Last YTD, etc. It immediately moved row 5 to row 1. And yes that line does print on each page. However my report title now prints below this line on page 1. The only way it works correctly is to include row 1 to row 5 even if I don't want rows 1 - 4 repeated.

So I'm making the assumption it will work but only if you start at row 1. Is this correct?

Thanks for your responses to #2 & #3. I will work around it.

Indeed you can only repeat 'the top N rows' on each page, not 'row 5 but not rows 1-4'.

If you want to control what information appears at the top of pages in a more specific way such as what you indiated, you need to put in manual page breaks (from the Edit menu and Insert Row Page Break) and put the column headers you require at the top of each new page. Don't use the frozen rows to repeat as page headers.
