Hi Victoria,
Thank you for the updated information.
If you believe that some data files became corrupted, then the best thing to do first is to run the Data Integrity check function under the File menu. Thus will confirm your suspicions or point to something else. If errors are found, the Rebuild capability may be able to fix them, but make sure you have a backup of your data prior to attempting this.
Are you able to get into sample data? This can be found in \softrak\qcwin\samdata, if you chose to install it. This will certainly point out if the problems you are having are data-related.
If you are getting an error that you are out of licences or have too many users, or something to that effect, this could happen for two reasons. The first is that there actually is too many people running the program simultaneously. Perhaps a multi-user pak needs to be reinstalled if you use them. You've probably made sure no-one else is running Quik Check, so this is probably not it.
The other problem may be that that your computer crashed while using the Quik Check data. This would mean some files did not get closed by the computer at they should have. Make sure that no-one is using that data (not only Quik Check, but also GL or any other data in that directory). Then rename the data file EZSEMTAB.XYZ (where XYZ is your data extension). This file is responsible for knowing which user is performing which function, and it may have gotten 'confused' due to a system failure. When you next start Quik Check for Windows in this data, the EZSEMTAB file will be recreated. Are you able to run the program as you are used to?
We do have some dealers inthe Ottawa area who are very knowledgeable with our products. You can give our Customer Service a call and they can recommend someone close to you to lend a hand.
