Is it possible to get a total or listing of outstanding items for each reconciled period? If so, I could then recalculate the cash balance as I have the cleared amounts from the Gridview you provided me.

Hi Tanja,

Actually, you can see the bank balance "as at" any particular date by highlighting the bank in the Bank Inquiry function and changing the "Calc as of" date at the bottom of the form.

It would be possible to use GridView work out the o/s items at any time but due to the fact that this information is not stored in BankRec it requires a complex filter to work it out.

Andrew's suggestion may be all you need.

I tried to get the bank balance as at a date using the Calc As Of function but for prior periods, it still only gives me the balance as of the last reconciled date. We have reconciled to Jan09 and that is the balance that is returned for any dates entered prior to then. I can get current balances for the unreconciled periods, but for any reconciled periods all it returns is the last reconciled balance. Is this the intent of this function?

I appreciate all the assistance you have given me; unfortunately it seems I may have to re-reconcile the account manually and then adjust BR and GL to match.

You're right - it only goes back to the last reconciled balance. Sorry, that's the way it was designed. We might be able to produce a View that calculates back from the current balance to get you what might have been the "cash balance" as at the statement date. I'll see what I can do.
