How can I move account groups up one level? I have my Profit & Loss set of account groups on the same level as Balance Sheet and I need to create them as separate financial statements.

Right mouse button on the group name and select "Copy" from the pop-up context menu. Click at the level you want to move it and right mouse button. Select "Paste (group)".

Thanks. Okay, I thought I tried it and it didn't work but this time it did. If my Assets, Liab., Income & Expenses are all subgroups of a header account, how can I create a separate Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss?

Create the new level on the tree and paste it there.

To be clear, accounts do not have to be on the Group tree in order to be able to create financial statements. You could just start with one of the samples.

Yes, Andrew. The reason I did it this way is because their accounts are all over the place and they want a summary report. Is there a better way?

Type the formula directly on a financial statement and drag and drop the accounts you want into column B. Use the formulas:
Code:
=GLDESC(desc if summarized,indent,range)
=GLAMT(spec code, range)

where you normally put the account ranges in column B.
