Hi Adam,

These source codes have probably been mistakenly created due to valid source codes in GL not having been created prior to retrieving the first sub-ledger batch into GL. Note that for these 2 source codes in GL, the first two characters of the source code description are the same as one of your Cashbook bank codes.

As you know, the source code that GL uses for Cashbook is CB-XX where XX is the bank code.

Because these source codes start with two blank spaces, they are uneditable and cannot be deleted. They have to be considered as 'corrupt' data, and if you want them removed, a database repair is the only way to do this.

Regards,

If you do a Data Integrity Check on GL - are there errors reported? Do you have DataCare? DataCare can check in 'verbose' mode to give you a detailed account of it's findings for a particular ACCPAC Plus (or 3rd party) module when you print the DC Log Report. Even though you run FixIt on this all the time, as you are seeing - this is not addressing the problem effectively.

As per our previous post, the only way to address this is through a professional Database Repair procedure. If your Dealer does not offer this service, Softrak can help you. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact that department through email: datarepair@softrak.com or by calling direct (604) 736-3741.

Hmmm. Here's some info (just for the record)...

FixIt is a very useful tool for most ACCPAC Plus applications, however we are aware of issues whereby after it has been used on certain products, the data tends to be harder to 'fix' manually than it would have been prior to using it.

Unless you have the tools, experience (and/or the patience) to manually fix the database yourself, you should address this asap using the methods previously suggested.
