When a FIFO item is received, the system puts a date in the receipt date bucket. But when the item is transferred from one location to another - the date is deleted.

Indeed if you post an Adjustment or a Stock Transfer for an item, the Receipt Number and Date is cleared from the FIFO costing lot, whereas this information is retained when a Shipment is posted for the item. This has been the case since the beginning.

Adagio Inventory can do stock transfers between items, and not just limited to location transfers. This is why the FIFO costing lot has the receipt information cleared. Were you hoping to see it maintained for location to location transfers, and cleared only when qty is transferred to a different item number? Or something else? We can look at this for a future version of Inventory - thanks for the suggestion.
