Hi
We created some prospect, we assigned a Tax Group and a Tax status for the prospect.

When we are creating a Quote using Prospect (not a customer yet), the tax status that we assigned to the prospect is not on the screen we have to change it each time, and we reopen the prospect file the tax status that we assigned earlier is not there anymore.

Hi Monique,

Unfortunately this doesn't help much but wanted to let you know that this works fine for me in the Adagio Sample Data.

Try out your same process in the sample data and see if you get the problem there. If you don't, have a close look at the sample data setup and see if you can spot any differences that could be causing the problem in your live data.

Hi, Monique,

Please try the following:

As soon as you open SalesCQ, either open the Customers grid or the Inquiries | Customers grid.

Next, open any customer record then (you don't need to make any changes) close the customer record again.

Now, if you go to the Prospects grid and open one of the Prospects you previously assigned a new Tax Status to, does it display the Tax Status you assigned previously or a blank?

If you were to create a quote for this prospect, does the correct Tax Status display or a blank?

Please let me know. Thanks,

Hi
I checked Adagio Sample Data, Tax Table Selection is with Invoicing, but we are using Order Entry.

Is Order Entry is different.

Hi Monique,

Even though in the SalesCQ sample data, the AR Tax Table selection is set to 'Adagio Invoicing', I wouldn't expect that this would influence the tax table and status selected for new Quotes for a Prospect. As you only have OE, then AR will always set customer tax statuses based on the OE tax tables.

There is something currently under investigation with setting Tax Statuses on Prospects, which has happened to ine person but not another. This is why we asked in the previous post whether you run into the same problem if you first Edit or View a Customer before looking at the Prospect record and the saved tax group and status. Could you let us know the result here? Thanks!

Hi,

Each time taht we open SalesCQ, we have to open the Customers grid or the Inquiries | Customers grid.

Next, we open any customer record then (we don't need to make any changes) close the customer record again.

Then we go to the Prospects grid and open one of the Prospects you previously assigned a new Tax Status and a Tax type the Tax Group is OK and the Tax Type are assigned and display ok

Other wise the Tax Type is missing

So the have the Tax Group and the Tax Type display even we open a prospect first it's possible to return to customer do the instructions that you gave me then the tax group and the tax type are assigned

Monique

If you were to create a quote for this prospect, does the correct Tax Status display or a blank?

Please let me know. Thanks,
