I am not able to retrieve A/P into my G/l, an error message says, "Access violation 00405A70 in module 'LEDGER.EXE'write of address 0000000D. This happen before, can't remember how it was fixed. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, please help.

Hi Cindy

Can you print the Print/Consolidate GL Transactions report in AP, or preview it? If you can't, that would indicate that the file containing the GL information is corrupt.

Another thing to try is to post something in the AP sample data and try to retrieve it into it's GL. If that works, then that indicates the problem is data-related.

Thanks, for your reply, but I can print the G/L cons. in a/p not a problem. Also, I did try the sample data, it would't retrieve either.
Anyone else having this problem??

OK, I'll just ask what versions of AP and GL you are using (including the service pack date), and then I'll let the true experts of Softrak suggest a solution. Other than re-installing GL, I'm stumped - I've never seen this problem and I service over 100 Adagio GL users.

Hi, Cindy,

Have you run a data integrity check? Is integrity clean in both applications? If not, make sure you have a current back up of your data. Then, Rebuild and see if that clears the errors. Always make sure you do another DIC after performing a Rebuild to make sure the data is clean.

As Steve says, we will need to know the exact version of Ledger you are using, along with the release date (in parentheses to the right of the version code). You can find this information by selecting Help and About from the Ledger menu.
