Is there a report I can build from GridView that will allow me to see the date that an inventory item was entered as "new" into the inventory module?

Long story, but we would like to see what new items have been added in the last two weeks.

Possible?

Thank you.

Hi Barb,

Unfortunately, Adagio Inventory does not yet contain creation and edit date audit fields. We're adding them to the master files as we do our major upgrades (next to arrive in Receivables 9.0A).

If you had a backup from 2 weeks ago, then it would be a simple matter to export the two item lists and compare them in Excel or Word (Excel 2007 has a nice "compare sheets" option).

Would that work?

In the GridView View of your IC Item include the Calculated Column for RecordNumber().

You can find this under Functions | Query | RECORDNUMBER()

If you do not delete items from I/C, and most people do not, then sort the View by RecordNumber Descending. The ones at the top will be your recently added Items.

Hi Barb,

If this is important information that you would like to keep track of today, you could create an Optional Date field (in the Company Profile) with a title of 'Start date' or whatever would work best for you. Then when a new item is created, today's date could be entered manually onto the item. Clicking on the 'calendar' finder next to the field defaults to today's date, so no typing is necessary - just remembering to visit the field.

Optional fields can also be imported to update existing items, as well as when creating new items.

Three reasonable answers in less than 45 minutes!

Not bad
