I have a client request for G/L Toolkit (Softline had for Accpac).

Is anything available in the market place ? The client wants to reallocate and correct entries in the G/L. The unpost method will not work for them because they have many reallocations.

Bob Wisener of Dakota Software has released a Toolkit that will do that. Your client can purchase 1 module at $495 or the whole Toolkit at $1,495. The yearly Upgrades plan is 20%.

We have the Dakota Toolkit.

In GL you can:

Account -> Change to a new account name
Account -> Combine into another existing account
Account -> Copy to a new account name

You can do the same thing with AR Customers, IC Items and AP Vendors.

It's a great tool to help businesses reorganize their system. We've used it mainly to "combine into" and "change to" Inventory items so far. It gives us the results we want without losing any info including costing, quantities, locations and transaction history.

We plan to reorganize our Vendors and Customers as well when time permits.

Yes. The same function as was available for Accpac Plus.

If you are trying to reallocate entries on a recurring percentage basis between departments, the Adagio allows you to create a reallocation batch that will move the amount automatically. Check out account reallocation in the help text or manual.

If you are just trying to move specific amounts between specific departments on an "ad hoc" basis, then you'll have to create journal entries to move the amounts. I don't know of any facility for Adagio that duplicates that specific Toolkit functionality.
