A client switched recently from Eudora to Outlook. They tell me they can no longer edit the cover letter on the fly as they are emailing a document to a customer.

Apparently, Eudora throws up a screen showing the cover letter before you hit send, giving you a chance to edit it. Is there something similar in Outlook?

No.

However, you can edit items in the Outbox before they are sent if you turn the automatic send/receive option off (Tools | Options | Mail Setup | Send receive).
