Previous version 8.1 only had 2 choices for the file import and we used file/import accounts. The new version has file/import/account budget. When you choose this option and select the file you want it says that the budget template cannot be changed so I saved it as budget new. Is this the correct process to import the budget file that i have updated with the new budget information. The manual does not have any info on importing the budget.

Yes, you typically will need to save any Import template you create in Adagio as a new template. It is unlikely that you will have a file name and layout exactly like the default, though often the layout is similar or the same.

Importing Budgets in Adagio Ledger 90A doesn't require too much information to juggle. Just the account, department (if used) and the 12 or 13 periods for a budget. You can only import budgets for a single year, specified on the Field Defaults tab.

The Help file has extensive information for all the importing types, including Budgets. Open the help file and from the Main page, look for the Importing and Exporting section on the right side, and particularly the Import Notes link. From here, you can choose your import type and see all the required setup elements.

Sometimes there is additional information in the Help file that is not found in the Manual.
