Dear mildis

Did you install the printer driver that comes with the HP Laser and if so, have you setup a printer in Windows for that printer and do you have it set as the default printer? What emulation are you using? PCL5 - PCL6 or HP? Try switching to the other one and see if that helps.

You can also make sure that you have this printer selected in your Invoice Specification. Open the Designer from the Maintenance | Maintain Specifications menu option in QIWIN or Adagio Invoices. Open the specification that you are using, then go to File | Printer Setup. Is the correct printer selected?

If nothing else works, what you can try is removing the fields that are not printing, and re-inserting them, then save your specification. Try printing again.

The fact that the invoice preview looks fine, but the printout does not - indicates a problem with your PC sending the job to the printer, rather than an Adagio or QIWIN program problem. That is where to look. If you are on a network - it could be that you need to reboot your system - or maybe the new HP needs a different printer cable than the Brother printer was using (but this would be more likely if the Brother was an older printer - not if it is a newer one as well). Some newer printers require an "IEEE" type cable, whereas older printers used the older standard parallel printer cable. These are the types of things to look for.

Hope this helps!
