When any transaction is posted in a sub-ledger application, the currency exchange rate and type saved with the transaction is also written to the batch that gets retrieved into GL. Unless the amount is edited in the retrieved GL batch, or some sort of revaluation is performed, the rates have to match. If the retrieved GL batches are not edited, then more information is required with all the steps being performed in AP and GL in order to track where the difference occurs.
The rate you were not expecting uses all 7 decimal places. I presume that this is not a rate that came directly from your MultiCurrency exchange rate setup. If this is the case, then this rate would have come as a result of over-riding a home CDN amount in a batch, and thus recalculating the rate based on the USD source amount.
