After reading all the previous issues with this service pack, I had decided to wait until yesterday to install the SP. I did not install the sample data with the SP.
This morning, I cannot get a detail listing out of my Ledger. I have restarted my computer and restarted Ledger several times. Each time I get the message "Adagio Ledger 9.0A needs to convert data for this service pack. Do you wish to continue?" I have to click "Yes" otherwise my data will not open.
When I try to print a detail listing, I get the error "Error Internal Error: field number is out of range. occured when attempting to append record accounts trans temp"
When I finally clicked past "OK" several hundred times, the report came out blank.
I am only trying to print one account, and there is no department involved so my account is 6995 to 6995 and Dept is blank to zzzzzz.
Anyone else have this problem?

Hi, Sonia,

You should not be getting asked to convert your data each time you access Ledger. It sounds like the SP install did not complete properly and that not all of your Ledger files were updated.

I suggest you download the SP again and reinstall the service pack.

Before doing this, however, make sure no one is in Adagio. Drilldown to the \Softrak\Dict folder on the server, locate and rename the @L90AI.ssi and @L90AR.ssi files. Then find the \QRASP folder on the server and locate the QRTALZ90.qrw and QRTALW90.qrw files. The dates on both of these files should be 3/06/2008. If one or both have earlier dates, please rename the file(s) also.

Then reinstall the SP.

Please make sure you download a fresh copy of this service pack. The original release was replaced due to the installation problems, the replacement service pack has the same date etc so it's not possible to tell if you are using the original or the replacement.

I renamed all 4 files. My QRTALW90.qrw had a date of Sept07, but the QRTALZ90 was Mar6/08.
Now when I try to install the SP I get the following error message: "To install this SP, you must be logged in as a Windows User that installed or runs Adagio Ledger. Current User [swilson} does not have the Report Tables file [M:\qrasp\QRTALW90.qrw]."

Do I change the file names back?

Hi Sonia,

The original problem is that the Ledger.exe and the program dictionaries were out of synch - one of the these files did not actually get installed. The report tables you referenced in fact are not part of the problem. If you don't have the new data file GLNUMB'3 in your data directory, this is why the program keeps asking to convert the data.

As Doug mentioned, the service pack should be re-downloaded. And yes, you should put back those two report tables first. As long as their file dates are not newer that what will be installed, any files that require updating will properly be replaced.

Thank you so much. It worked.
Is there any way to lock people out of the system while installing a service pack? Someone logged into AP yesterday while I was running the SP. Funny how when you are in Financial Reporter, no one can log into the Ledger, but the system allows people to log in while doing maintenance.
