Hello Brenda2
Printer switches can cause garbled output for some applications, while quite content to work with others. Because Adagio is so printer-driven, it is more sensitive than other applications in this respect. Also, when you are "switching" between A & B, this action in itself could cause garbage to print after the switch was changed.
Did you reboot your workstation after having disconnected the switchbox? Try doing this if you have not already done so, then try printing again.
If this does not help, do a Data Integrity check on the Adagio module that is giving you problems. If errors are found, do the Rebuild then repeat the check to ensure all errors were fixed.
If these suggestions do not help, I will need more information. Please tell me:
1. What are you trying to print? A report (if so, which one & does this happen on ALL reports) or are you printing checks or invoices?
2. In what way does it look "garbled" - please be specific.
3. Do you have the correct printer driver installed on your local hard drive for this HP1100 LP? (ie is it for the same version of Windows that you are using as your Operating System?) Is it the driver that came with your printer, or are you just using one that Windows installs by default?
4. Finally, if you are using more than one Adagio module, does this occur with all of them, or just one? Which application are you speaking of?
5. Before you installed the switchbox, were you having printing problems?
6. Is Adagio installed on a Network Server, or locally, on your workstation?
7. If on a Server, is it a dedicated server, or are you on a "Peer to Peer" network, where the "server" station is also being used as a workstation?
Thanks for the additional information.
