I am trying to import a batch into the Ledger. It is in an Excel format and only the batch detail is imported . The field Description to import is set at 30 characters but it looks like only 8 characters are being imported. How can i import all the information in the description?

Try editing the Excel sheet and widening the Description column, or perhaps auto-fit all columns. If the column isn't wide enough to display the entire text, then only the visible text is imported, for some reason.

Open the Excel workbook and make certain that the Description column is wide enough to see all of the wording in all rows. Sometimes the import process (or perhaps Excel) will cut off a column and import only what is visible.
