Hie everyone:
One more question... ;-)
I'm, right now, converting our (apparently gigantic) ACCPAC IC database to Adagio Inventory. It started with items that were apparently added in 1997 and have since long been deleted from the database... or so we thought. I already noticed this when I did the test migration. Because that test migration took almost 24 hours to complete, I 'm using the fastest machine I have for today's migration - but it's still taking a long time.
Anyway, one of the item numbers I noticed flashing by on the screen was 'GP-70'. I cannot pull up that item in the inventory database because it was deleted some time ago. However, I'm able to pull up data related to that item when I run the Transaction History report.
My questions are:
Am I correct to assume that deleting an item in IC (or Adagio Inventory) does not delete its related transaction history data? Is that because that information is being kept in a separate file within the inventory database?
I noticed that after running the transaction history report for that item (GP-70), I was asked if I wanted to purge that 'printed history' information from the database
? Is there a simpler way to purge old transaction history data across the board by specifying a 'older than' date - similar to the 'Purge Item Notes' screen?
Thanks!
